Arhia Ramsey of The Village Sister is a Traditional Midwife and Nurse that specializes in providing trauma informed care for those birthing outside of the hospital. Motivated by Oklahoma’s maternal mortality rate, Arhia pursued midwifery as a foundational piece of liberation and birth sovereignty. She is also a trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner with experience in providing care to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
