Elena Rose Colón (she/her) is a queer boricua mami, bilingual student midwife, full spectrum doula/companion and herbalist in Austin, TX.
She works with POC and immigrant communities to provide support in birth, postpartum, abortion, pregnancy loss and grief through her work with Mama Sana Vibrant Woman and Casa Marianella. She has a background in birth justice activism and community organizing, as well as medical case management.
She is also a babywearing educator and a lactation educator and has been providing these services to her community since 2014. Elena is a staff and advisory member of the Queer and Trans Midwives Association, and is passionate about providing resources, access and community to queer and trans birthworkers of color. Elena comes with a wealth of knowledge from her profession, personal life experience, and ancestral healing work.
